Cost to charge a Kia EV6 at home

77 kWh usable battery, about 3.6 miles per kWh in real driving (roughly 275 miles of range). Priced at the Ofgem cap of 26.11p per kWh (1 July – 30 September 2026), and on a typical dedicated overnight EV tariff (e.g. a 7p off-peak window).

800-volt architecture means very fast public charging, but at home the cost is set by the same unit rate as everything else.

Cost per full charge, and per mile

Home charging on a dedicated overnight tariff is where the running-cost case for an EV is won. Charge the Kia EV6 only at standard-rate electricity and it is still cheaper than petrol, but the gap narrows sharply. Lean on public rapid chargers and it can cost as much as petrol or more — which is worth knowing before you buy, not after.
